Bursagaz has achieved yet another breaktrough in its fourth year in the private sector. Bursagaz which has carried out many exemplary projects over the past couple of years and thus became a success story increased the number of its subscribers to 600,000.
After joining the Çalık Group on April 19, 2004, Bursagaz has become a success story in the past four years. Aiming to ensure that natural gas is supplied to all parts of Bursa under the slogan "For a blue sky and a green Bursa," Bursagaz carried out many successful projects ranging from investments to customer care and from its human resources to support lent to the social and cultural life in Bursa.
Having introduced more than 300,000 families in Bursa to comfort provided by natural gas which is a cheap fuel as a result of its subscription campaigns since 2004, Bursagaz continues to carry out its projects without slackening its pace.
Bursagaz launched a new subscription campaigns recently and increased the total number of its subscribers to 600,000 together with new subscribers who signed subscription agreements in the firsttwo months of the year. Thus, the number of natural gas subscribers who signed agreements with Bursagaz since 2004 exceeded 300,000.
Bursa residents have expressed keen interest in the campaign which was launched in order to enable people living in the city to take out a subscription for natural cost in the most cost-effective and rapid manner. It permits subscribers to pay YTL 5 of the subscription fee in advance and the rest in 15 equal installments.
Bursagaz General Manager Ertuğrul Altın said that the past four years was a success story which they owed to Bursa residents. He thanked all Bursa residents for the support they have given. Emphasizing that they intend to provide services meeting international standards for Bursa residents, Altin went on to say: "We promised to supply natural gas for all parts of Bursa within five years when I and other members of the management were appointed. We have kept our promise.Natural gas was available in 35 percent of Bursa when we took over Bursagaz after its privatization. We brought it up to 79 percent over the past four years. We intend to reach 98 percent by the end of 2008 and to supply natural gas in all parts of Bursa which have been included in land-use plans."
Bursagaz will complete its infrastructure projects under its investment program for 2008 and start delivering natural gas to 39 new districts. When the infrastructure works are completed, 67,000 more families will begin receiving natural gas while natural gas infrastructure will have been extended to all areas in Bursa which are covered by land-use plans.
