BURSAGAZ PREVENTS EXCAVATIONS WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION

Bursagaz requires all entities undertaking infrastructural contruction to obtain prior "excavation permission" in order to ensure a safe and continous natural gas supply, especially during the current intensive investment implementation phase.

All contractors need to have written digging permission to operate on streets where natural gas lines are present and they must also inform the natural gas emergency line by calling 187 before the digging commences.

Bursagaz’s System Development Manager, Mustafa Ceyhan, stated that Bursagaz has determined through analysis that in 2008, 93 of the 2.151 excavations that were undertaken were done so without permission. In order to decrease this level, the Natural Gas Emergency Service Teams have increased the supervision frequency and tranings that are provided corporate entities.

All citizens and construction companies must be sensitive of and adhere to all digging procedures.
