On this technical visit, the students, who were led by Bursagaz Operation and Maintenance Expert Melih Ertaş, had the opportunity to view Turkey’s largest capacity active Natural Gas RMA station and to be informed about its operation. The visit continued by viewing the meter calibration centre in Hamitler station. Lecturer Gül attested the technical visit is a good example of industry-university cooperation, fostering the students’ ability to blend theoretical and practical knowledge while also acquainting them with the latest developments within the energy sector.
Ertaş stated that Bursagaz serves more than 740 thousand subscribers for whom they continue to work 24/7 to provide a safe natural gas supply. Ertaş asserted that Bursagaz regards social responsibility activities as essential and that the company provides support for students in the Department of Gas and Installation Technology in order for them to graduate with full competence and a better understanding of the sector.
