BURSAGAZ IS THE FIRST COMPANY TO OBTAIN THE E-ENVIRONMENTAL PERMIT IN THE NATURAL GAS DISTRIBUTION SECTOR

In his explanation about the certification process, Vice General Director of Bursagaz Şükrü Özden stated that the e-Environmental permit is a process that was initiated in the first half of 2010 and that the Environmental Permit Certificate was obtained because Bursagaz falls under the rubric of “Activities or Facilities with Environmental Pollution Effect” (i.e. facilities which burn gas fuel, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, coke breeze, high furnace gas, or fuel gas and for which the total burning system heating power is 2 MW or higher but less than 100 MW)” due to the capacities of the heaters in the stations operated by Bursagaz.

Özden explained that this certificate verifies that emission from the heaters used for heating natural gas in Bursagaz's RMS station is kept in check and, most importantly, that any possible deleterious effects on the people and living organisms in the environs of the station are prevented.  He emphasized that the certificate proves that the levels of CO² and similar harmful gases (gases with greenhouse effects) are maintained under the legal threshold and he added that the company continues to work for a Blue Sky/Green Bursa, as they have promised to the people of Bursa, by carrying out coordinated activities with the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Forestry and all related institutions during the certification process.  Özden also stated that Bursagaz is elated and proud to be the first natural gas distribution company to obtain the e-Environmental Permit.
