The Natural Gas Guide Step by Step


It is very easy to be a subscriber; How?
If there is a pipeline passing through your street and there is a box at your building;
You can perform the subscription actions and start using the natural gas right away.
If there is a pipeline passing through your street but there is no box in the building;
You can file an application with the Bursagaz General Directorate or the subscription act center.
Which documents are needed for the subscription?
If there is no other natural gas subscriber in your building;
a. The decision of the building residents as to whether the preferred heating form in the building will be individual or central.
If in the building;

1. There are less than 8 flats or shops, the text of the related decision in form of a petition
2. There are 8 or more flats or shops in the building,the decision book of the building certified by the Notary Public(the decision must be made with a majority of at least 51 %) 
3. The owner is an individual person, the application letter with the decision written on it
b. If the person that files the application is the owner, the copy of the title deed and the rental contract if the person is a tenant
c. The copy of the identification card (with the identity number of Republic of Turkey)
d. An invoice for electricity or water with address on it or a copy of the clean environment document
If there is any other natural gas subscriber in your building;
a. The copy of the identity card (with the identity number of Republic of Turkey)
b. The installation number of your building

Note: The subscription fee will be paid when the application form is submitted.
NOW THE INSTALLATION IS ON THE ROW AFTER THE SUBSCRIPTION HAS BEEN COMPLETED...
Since you are now a subscriber, you will conclude a contract with an engineering company certificated by BURSAGAZ, which will then prepare the installation project and carry out the natural gas installation.
The issues to pay attention to with regard to the installation:
  • Is the company, with which you are about to conclude a contract, is certificated by and received an authorization document from Bursagaz? Make sure that you get to see the certificate.
  • Do not work with uncertificated installation companies.
  • You must have a written contract with the company that will carry out the installation work.
  • You must write in the contract in form of articles the kind of the materials to be used for the transformation to natural gas, the brand of the device, the payment form as well as your other requests. Furthermore, there must be provision in the contract specifying that the “Courts and Enforcement Departments in Bursa will be certificated in case of a conflict”.
  • Bursagaz will not be responsible for the contract you have concluded with a certified company.
  • The approval and installation control appointment acts of your project will be followed by the company, with which you have concluded a contract.
  • In the case that you encounter a situation that does not comply with the contract you have concluded during the execution of the installation work by the certified company, you can obtain information on the company from the Bursagaz Help Desk.
  • Keep in mind! Both your responsibilities and the responsibilities of the engineering company will be laid down in the contract that will be concluded.
  • You can obtain information on the authorization status of the engineering company from the Help Desk and the website of Bursagaz.
  • You must at any rate notify Bursagaz if you should need a modification after the gas has been given to your installation. Bursagaz has the authorization for the first intervention to the lines with gas.
The acceptance acts for the installation
  • The authorized employee of Bursagaz will come to your flat together with the employee of the certified engineering company to check the compliance of the installation.
  • In the case that your installation conforms to the Bursagaz Technical Specification and the project and the natural gas burner devices are in place, the natural gas conformity document will be issued (one copy of this document will be given to you).
  • In the case that your installation does not conform to the Bursagaz Technical Specification and the project, the acceptance act of your installation will not be carried out. Natural gas cannot be used in any way without having first obtained the natural gas conformity documents from Bursagaz.
Conclude your agreement and start using natural gas
You can conclude the agreement for use of natural gas with Bursagaz after the acceptance acts for the installation has been completed. Furthermore, you can also benefit from the Agreement at Home service that is the new implementation of Bursagaz. This way, you can sign the natural gas conformity document and the utilization agreement at the same time and start using the natural gas.
The requirements for the agreement at home;
a. The copy of the identity card (with the identity number of Republic of Turkey)
b. The residence document
c. The copy of the title deed if you are home owner, the rental contract if you are a tenant
The requirements for the agreement at Bursagaz;
Individual use;
a. The copy of the title deed if you are home owner, the rental contract if you are a tenant
b. The residence document
c. The copy of the identity card (with the identity number of Republic of Turkey)
d. The natural gas conformity document
Central utilization;
a. The decision book certified by the Notary Public (the related decision)
b. The decision, with which the authorization has been granted with a majority of 51 % as exhibited with the signatures
c. The copy of the identity card of the person that is certificated to conclude the agreement
The individual and central tax plate is necessary for the commercial utilization.
The situations of questionable and improper natural gas utilization
  • In the case that you use the natural gas prior to official authorization by Bursagaz,
  • In the case that you change the natural gas meter without the approval of Bursagaz
  • In the case that you use natural gas although the agreement is not on your name,
  • In the case that you carry out or have carried out modifications in the natural gas installation without having first obtained the approval of Bursagaz,
  • In the case that you activate the meter that has been de-activated by Bursagaz, that would mean the illegal and improper utilization of gas
  • The impropriety penalty set out in the regulation will be imposed under such circumstances
The cases of illegal use of natural gas
  • In the case that you use natural gas without having been registered at Bursagaz,
  • In the case that you use natural gas after having intervened with the gauging device,
  • In the case that you use natural gas without a gauging device, that would mean the illegal use of natural gas.
In the case of illegal use of natural gas
  • A penalty of 200 % of the unit price of the natural gas will be imposed at the first utilization,
  • A penalty of 300 % of the unit price of natural gas will be imposed in case of the repletion of the same felony.
